Due to force majeure, the event was postponed several times.
In 2022 Town Ludbreg as a project partner organized a visit of Croatian citizens to the partner Town San Gregorio Magno in Italy. The visit occurred on 13.06 – 16.6.2022. and it included 57 citizens from Croatia. The whole event included 112 participants. Activities that were conducted during the visit and event were made of comparisons, debates, and sharing of ideas, and points of view on the importance of the European Union and its functioning. A debate, that has put the citizen at the center of the European project, expanding knowledge on the methodology and tools for active citizen participation in the EU and its institutions, was organized. Participants talked about the benefits arising from Europe for Citizens Program, and all the innovations introduced by the new CERV Program. The event ended with the signing of the twinning oath between the Mayors of the two cities, planning new paths to be launched together. The main result achieved consists in increasing the sense of belonging to the EU of the citizens of the two communities by finding similarities, and common future interests.
